A History of Innovation,
a Reputation for Quality
Hunter Industries has been in the business of manufacturing residential and commercial irrigation products since 1981. However, long before the company first opened its doors, the word "Hunter" has been synonymous with quality and innovation.
Company founder Edwin J. Hunter was a life-long inventor and engineering impresario who pioneered the usage of thermoplastics in the manufacture of irrigation equipment during the 1950s. Prior to his involvement in the industry, most components were made of machined brass and were costly to manufacture and hold tight tolerances. Hunters inventive contributions, including the first all-plastic gear-driven sprinklers, electric valve-in-head technology and the first Windows-based central control system with course graphics, have made a lasting impression on the golf industry.
